SROC Horticulture Day
An excellent program will include Diane Dunham, weekly garden column writer for the Mankato Free Press, talking about prepping your garden in the spring and fall, “Waking the Garden Up & Putting it to Bed”. John & Jenny Thull, with their 10 years’ experience at the Horticultural Research Center, will share their knowledge and what they’ve learned about “Growing Heirloom Pumpkins, Squashes, and Gourds”. Mike Heger, author of Growing Perennials in Cold Climates, has over forty years of horticultural experience in both public and private horticulture. He will talk about culture, care, and varietal selection in his presentation, “Best Performing Perennials for Cold Climates”.

Fees/Admission
Seating is limited, $30 registration includes morning refreshments, lunch and handout materials. Pre-register by sending $30 (payable to the University of Minnesota) along with your name and address to Deanne Nelson, UM Southern Research and Outreach Center, 35838 120th Street, Waseca, MN 56093.
