Aaron Omtvedt Joins the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
Waseca, MN – The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the addition of Aaron Omtvedt to its Board of Directors. Aaron and his wife Carol, along with their business partners Samuel and Tara Steffel are the owners of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service.  Their business has two funeral home locations in Waseca as well as locations in Janesville and Waterville.  Aaron has also recently shared that he and Sam have acquired the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center, and they are excited to continue the care that those families have come to expect in their communities.  Together, Aaron and Sam offer funeral and cremation services as well as prearrangement services, various prefunding resources, and monument sales.

“Aaron is a wonderful addition to our board, and we look forward to the skills and ideas that he will contribute. He is a respected member of the Waseca community, and we are looking forward to his involvement helping us move the Chamber forward,” said Chamber President Mikhail Rostislavovich.

Aaron grew up in Estherville, Iowa and is a 1998 graduate of Estherville Lincoln Central High School.  He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa where he studied Interpersonal Communication and Religion.  In the early 2000’s he completed his Mortuary Science education at Worsham College near Chicago, IL.  Aaron began working for Timothy Dennis at the funeral home in 2005 and after many years was able to purchase the funeral home upon Tim’s retirement in 2022.  Aaron’s wife, Carol, offers massage therapy services at Xpressions Salon in Waseca.  Their two teenage daughters have never known any home but Waseca. Their oldest, Ava, is a recent graduate of Waseca High School and their youngest, Stella, is currently a sophomore in Waseca.

Aaron says that he is excited to work alongside new friends and colleagues on the chamber board.  His desire to care for and promote Waseca and its businesses to a broad population, both inside and outside our community, will help ensure a bright future for our community and its members.  If you haven’t met Aaron before he invites you to stop by the funeral home and say “hello” the next time you have an opportunity.
The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to working with Aaron on the Board of Directors.
