Chamber Committees and Priorities

Your Chamber of Commerce is designed to meet membership needs.  It is a volunteer organization of individuals and businesses who band together for the collective best interest of developing Waseca’s future.

The Waseca Area Chamber Ambassadors are comprised of business professionals that serve as the chamber’s liaison to the business community. Dressed in their red, these professionals present New Member, Progress and Roots Awards to deserving businesses in the community.  The group recognizes investments in the community and promotes the value of chamber membership.

Agribusiness Committee:

The Agribusiness Committee of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting and promoting the agricultural sector within the community. The primary focus of the committee is to plan and coordinate the annual Farm & City Luncheon held in March.

Events Committee:

The Events Committee of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is responsible for planning and executing various events that raise funds for the Chamber and foster community engagement. These events include the Community Awards Banquet, Waseca County Free Fair Booth, the Golf Tournament, and the Business & Industry Celebration. The committee will work closely with the Chamber Executive Director and Chamber Staff. 

Legislative Committee: 

The Legislative Committee of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce aims to foster effective communication and collaboration between the Chamber, local businesses, and all levels of government. By organizing key events and facilitating engagement with policymakers, the committee ensures that the voices of our members are heard and considered in legislative processes. The committee will work closely with the Executive Director and Chamber Staff.

Membership Committee:

The Membership Committee of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to growing and maintaining a robust and engaged Chamber membership base. The committee focuses on identifying potential new members, nurturing relationships, and ensuring that current members feel valued and supported. The committee will work closely with the Chamber Executive Director and Chamber Staff. 

Workforce Development Committee:

The Workforce Development Committee of the Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and skilled workforce by enhancing career readiness and professional development within our community. This committee plays a crucial role in strengthening the partnership with Waseca Public Schools and promoting lifelong learning among our residents. The committee will work closely with the Chamber Executive Director and the Waseca Public Schools’ Student Success Coordinator.
