WASECA, MN — The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of the New Richland Craft Mall to its growing list of members. The Chamber Ambassadors officially welcomed the New Richland Craft Mall with a warm reception, celebrating their commitment to the local business community.

Kristie Biehn, Chair of the Waseca Chamber Ambassadors, expressed her excitement about the new membership. “We are thrilled to welcome the New Richland Craft Mall and owner Jennie Johnson to our Chamber family. Their dedication to providing a unique shopping experience and supporting local artisans is a wonderful asset to our community,” said Biehn.

Mikhail Rostislavovich, President of the Waseca Chamber Board of Directors, also shared his thoughts. “The New Richland Craft Mall exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit that strengthens our local economy. We are proud to support their journey as they continue to grow and serve the area.”

The New Richland Craft Mall first opened in 2020 as a creative solution during the pandemic when traditional craft shows were limited. What began as a temporary endeavor quickly transformed into a beloved destination for local shoppers. Co-founder Sara Jo Vulcan joined early on, and their success led to renting a storefront in the historic old drug store.

After four years of success, the owners have made the significant decision to purchase a larger space, providing greater visibility and room for expansion. The new location will feature additional amenities, including food trucks, picnic tables under the awning, and even rideable animals like those found in shopping malls.

Beyond offering a diverse selection of handcrafted items, the New Richland Craft Mall aims to support local vendors and offers special shopping experience. With plans to expand their collection of babies, wedding, and memorial crafts, the Craft Mall remains committed to fostering local creativity and community connection.
