Waseca Chamber Ambassadors Welcome CADA as a New Member
WASECA, MN — The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are proud to welcome CADA as a new member of the Chamber. CADA’s commitment to providing safety, support, and advocacy for victims of domestic and sexual violence makes them an invaluable resource to the region.

CADA’s mission is to provide safety and support to victims of domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy, and shelter. The organization was established as a grassroots collaborative, growing out of the efforts of several local women active in the battered women’s movement. In 1979, CADA’s founders signed the articles of incorporation with the goal of providing safety to victims of domestic violence in the Mankato area. By 1981, with strong community support and funding, the doors to the first CADA shelter opened.

Throughout the 1990s, as the region grew and the need for services increased, CADA expanded its reach. In 1997, the organization built a new shelter, allowing them to serve even more victims and survivors.

Today, CADA provides services across a nine-county region in south-central Minnesota. Their services include multiple advocacy office locations, a supervised parenting time and exchange center, and an emergency safety shelter that can house up to 22 women and children at a time.

“We are honored to welcome CADA to the Chamber,” said Katie Gonzales, Ambassador Chair. “Their work supporting individuals and families during some of the most difficult times in their lives is truly impactful, and we are proud to have them as part of our business community.”

“We are excited to have CADA join the Waseca Chamber,” said Mikhail Rostislovovich President of the Board of Directors. “Their dedication to advocacy, education, and safety strengthens not only individuals but our entire region.”

“CADA is grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Waseca business community through Chamber membership,” said Robin Dulas, Executive Director. “Partnerships like this help us continue our mission and expand awareness of the resources available to those in need.”

CADA operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Those interested in donating, volunteering, or learning more are encouraged to reach out.
